Charlotte Flair Thinks WWE WrestleMania Match with Bianca Belair is Inevitable

Charlotte Flair appeared on Superstar Crossover for a new interview to promote WWE WrestleMania 40 tickets going on sale last week.

Flair discussed the reports that she took time off from WWE after WrestleMania 39 to focus on fitness competitions before returning to television. Here are the highlights:

The reports she took time off from WWE after WrestleMania for fitness competitions:

“No. I contemplated doing one, but I haven’t signed up yet. But I do love the bodybuilding world.”

Whether she knows what’s next for her career:

“Like, I’m hoping something happens, but I don’t know what that looks like. I’d love to star in a movie. A series. During my off time, I did have the opportunity to become a global ambassador for Smile Train. So, it’s been really rewarding working with the community on my off time. So I don’t know. It’s just whatever happens next.”

Not remembering when she found she would headline WrestleMania 35 and what the feeling was like:

“I don’t know when I found out. Oh, yeah [her answer when responding to the feeling of headlining]. I was like, ‘Damn right.’ It’s like we were the best story going into WrestleMania that year. And then the scene that happened with the police car, kneeing Ronda in the face. So she was hanging out the fight, beating up the police officers like it was just a perfect storm, Perfect timing.”

Who came up with the idea to make her entrance in a helicopter:

“I think it was Vince and Kevin Dunn. Everyone’s like, ‘So do you just, like, get to pick a helicopter?’ Yeah. It’s my idea. Hey, I need a helicopter for my entrance. People think I have that kind of power. Maybe I should pretend like I do. I think it was them. I’m sure it was like Vince, Katie, and Triple H, I’m sure the three of them collectively, because I know it was Triple H’s idea when I came out on the throne because it was his throne.”

What she wants to do at WrestleMania 40:

“Challenger or champion going in. And whatever one wants to be doing [main eventing night two].”

Who she wants to wrestle at the show:

“Everyone keeps asking me that. I feel like there’s so many opportunities. Like, I know [Bianca] Belair versus Flair is a main event-worthy match, but if it doesn’t happen at 40, it’s going to happen at 41. If it doesn’t happen at 41, it’s going to happen at 42. Like, I don’t want to say this exact person because it could be like, what if I’m not giving credit to something that could potentially be there and be incredible? Yeah, it’s just, I mean, Belair knows how I feel about her, so I don’t have to say it like she knows that’s going to be a WrestleMania match. But I just think that’s an easy answer. Like I’m looking for who I don’t know.”
