Cinnamon Toast Crunch match hinted for WWE WrestleMania 39

It looks like WWE will be doing another sponsored-themed match, this time at WrestleMania 39.

At last Saturday’s Royal Rumble, Mountain Dew Pitch Black was integrated as it was the name of a match between Bray Wyatt and LA Knight. It saw them compete in a street fight under black light.

While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, WWE senior VP and head of global sales and partnerships Craig Stimmel touted WWE sponsorship revenue for WrestleMania 39. He said it is 43 percent higher than it was for WrestleMania 38 and there are still months to go. One source noted the sponsorship revenue currently stands at between $14 million-$15 million.

The article noted that Stimmel suggested there will be “surprises” at Mania, “specifically calling out a new sponsor, Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

“I don’t want to give away too much, but it’ll be around a match, and the sponsorship of that match, and what they’ll be able to bring to that match,” he said. “So we’re going to do things that fit inside of our storyline as well.”

Mountain Dew Pitch Black also sponsored the post-show press conference for the Rumble. The WrestleMania post-show press conference will also be sponsored by a company.
