Clarification on Hangman Adam Page Being Told Not to Go to AEW Collision

Hangman Adam Page was sent to last Saturday’s AEW Collision, where he was slated to do a pre-tape promo backstage to hype this Wednesday’s Dynamite. The initial belief was that the promotion had him fly to the show. Just like Ryan Nemeth was told he wasn’t allowed backstage. Page was never booked for Collision.

As previously reported, several wrestlers are not allowed backstage at Collison shows, which is internally believed to have something to do with CM Punk not wanting certain people at shows he’s booked.

Punk took a shot at Hangman Adam Page following Saturday’s AEW Collision, something he reportedly apologized for. Page was asked to do the pre-tape away from the building.

Pwinsider reports they were told by sources that Page was not “removed” from this past Saturday’s Collision event as it “was simply a case of the location of the promo being moved to a different location, which had zero to do with CM Punk. “

The report stated the belief about Punk’s comments “bled into the promo being moved by those looking to knock Punk.”

Because Page lives in the Greensboro area where Collision was being held, it wasn’t a situation where Page had to travel a long distance and then was sent home after doing the pre-tape.

Pwinsider’s report confirmed other reports that Punk apologized, but it’s unclear whether Page responded.
