Eddie Kingston defeated Claudio Castagnoli at Supercard of Honor to win the ROH World Championship.
They had a brutal back-and-forth match with several close near falls. In the final moments of the match, it seemed like Claudio had things wrapped up because Kingston was barely able to get to his feet.
Kingston was able to get a roll up at the end but Claudio countered and pinned Kingston to retain the title. Nigel McGuinness said that Kingston was able to control his temper but he wasn’t able to win the title.

After the match, Claudio and Eddie were about to attack Eddie but the new Pure Champion Katsuyori Shibata walked out to the ring stop from them from doing anything. Eddie grabbed the mic and said that he will beat Claudio’s ass.
