As most of you know by now, there was a lot of news coming out of WWE Raw in Chicago.
As was reported earlier, Punk went backstage for the first time since he left the company in 2014. It’s unclear why he went to the show but he reportedly met briefly with Triple H and others in the company.
Punk was reportedly asked to leave and the call was made by Vince McMahon, who was working remotely from his home. Before leaving, Miz reportedly met with The Miz. Both men have had issues in the past but Punk apparently wanted to mend fences with him.
PWInsider reported that Punk and Miz spoke for a “short time” and they “cleared the air.”
Whatever the motives were for Punk to go backstage at Raw, this news is generating a ton of buzz on social media as Punk prepares to return to AEW on the debut episode of Collision on June 17. Click here to see the video of Punk with a WWE star before Raw.
