CM Punk kicked off WWE Monday Night Raw and he walked to the ring with his right arm in a sling, which confirms the news about his triceps injury.
Punk said he’s not mad at anybody and he congratulated Cody Rhodes and said that he hopes Cody finishes his story. Punk said he wanted to get his arm taped and go on to Elimination Chamber and now he wonders if he was ever meant to main event WrestleMania.
Punk told a story about a kid who has cancer and fighting through chemo. Punk also talked about being scared when he fought in UFC and he talked about this setback being a bump in the road because the real people who are the best in the world are people fighting cancer and people who help other people.
Drew McIntyre walked out to the ring and said that while he thinks Punk is a poison to the locker room, he can relate to him. McIntyre said “I prayed for this and it happened. When I got into that Rumble, I targeted you. I violently assaulted you. I could not let you win that thing…” McIntyre said he slept like a baby after he heard about Punk’s injury and now he will find a way into the World Title match at WrestleMania so he could live Punk’s dream “again.” Punk said he’s coming for McIntyre when he recovers. McIntyre laid him out and Sami Zayn ran out to make the save.
