CM Punk has not apologized and has been told not to have any contact with The Young Bucks

CM Punk AEW return is getting near, with the planned date being moved up from when it was originally expected to happen.

The key to his return is how the roster and Punk can coexist. The idea is for Punk to be the top star of the new Saturday show, AEW Collison, which will be premiering this summer, and it will be tied to his return.

There is a planned meeting with AEW President Tony Khan, Punk, Chris Jericho, and more happening soon. Interestingly enough, there are a few notable names missing from the reported meeting, and that’s The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks), who just so happened to be the ones who got into the backstage fight with Punk at All Out last year.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that there had been no resolution to the issues with Punk and several on the roster for his actions at All Out, including the fight and rant at the post-event press conference. Punk hasn’t apologized to The Young Bucks, but there’s a reason for that.

Meltzer wrote, “As of the weekend there was no resolution to the situation and there are many situations and things involved. Since I’ve been asked about this a lot, Punk has not apologized or attempted to make any direct amends to the Young Bucks, although those close to him said that’s because he’s been told not to have any contact with them and without any contact he couldn’t.”

The report stated that nobody has said he would apologize if he could or is against doing so because there are people who want everyone to make amends, and that was suggested by many as “at least an attempt at a way.”
