CM Punk played Uno backstage at Impact, wrestlers described him as ‘pleasant’ and ‘happy to be there’

As was noted over the weekend, CM Punk attended the Impact Wrestling tapings on Saturday. He went there after Mercedes Mone extended an invite to attend since she was going to be there to support Trinity, who wrestled KiLynn King at the tapings.

There’s been a lot of talk about Punk’s motivations for going to WWE Raw last Monday and all signs point to that he simply wanted to say hi to old friends after he happened to be on the same flight with some of the WWE talent.

Fightful Select reports that Punk played Uno and he spoke with “over a dozen” Impact Wrestling talent while he was there. Punk reportedly had kind words to say for a couple of wrestlers he met and everyone there described him as “pleasant” and he seemed to be ‘happy to be there.’

For anyone wondering what his status is with AEW, the belief is that he is going to be the top star on the AEW Collision show when it launches next month on TNT.
