Dana White Says Power Slap’s Social Media Numbers Are Better Than WWE

After last night’s UFC 288, Dana White spoke to the media during the post-show press conference. Scroll down on this page to see the video.

A reporter from MMA Mania asked White about Power Slap, the slap fighting league that aired on TBS after AEW Dynamite and now airs on the Rumble streaming service.

White said, “The deal that I just cut for Slap is bigger than the UFC deal we cut with Spike TV after the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. I don’t give a sh*t what the media says about it. They don’t matter.”

White then said that the social media numbers for Slap are better than some major sports leagues. He said, “We’re number 1 in all of sports. When I say all of sports, if you take the NFL, NBA, NHL, F1, WWE…and added them all together, their numbers don’t compare to Slap’s.”

The reporter expressed skepticism about the numbers that White gave out.

According to numbers that are publicly available, WWE tops all sports leagues on social media. WWE has over 94 million subscribers on YouTube, 21.3 million TikTok followers, 13.2 million Twitter followers, 28.1 million followers on Instagram, and over 42 million followers on Facebook. Those numbers don’t include the social media numbers for their sub accounts.

Power Slap has just under 22,000 followers on Twitter, 3.2 million followers on TikTok, 120,000 followers on YouTube, 868,000 followers on Instagram, and 177,000 followers on Facebook. Power Slap also gets a boost from the official UFC social media accounts.
