Daniel Garcia defeated Wheeler Yuta for the ROH Pure Championship tonight on AEW Dynamite. Garcia won the match clean without any help from Chris Jericho or the Jericho Appreciation Society.
Per the rules, Yuta was given a warning from the referee for using a closed fist when he punched Garcia. Moments later, Garcia broke free from a submission attempt and he locked Yuta in the Dragon Gate submission to force Yuta to tap out.
After the match, Yuta and Garcia shook hands and Danielson put the belt around Garcia’s waist. Jericho walked out on the stage with a shocked look on his face.
