Warner Bros has shifted the release date for “Dune: Part Two,” which stars former WWE Champion Dave Bautista.
Deadline reported today that the release date had been moved from November 17th to November 3rd. This comes after Disney/Marvel’s Blade was moved from the first weekend of November 2023 to September 2024.
Dune 2 stands unopposed. It now will not have to face “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” on November 17th.
The film also stars Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skargard, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Lea Seydoux, Christopher Walken, and more.
The first Dune film was part of WarnerMedia’s theatrical day-and-date pandemic experiment, as it also aired on HBO Max. It opened to $41 million and brought in $108.3 million domestically while drawing a total of $401.8 million worldwide.
Dune was the second best performing Warner Bros HBO Max day. It was nominated for ten Oscars, including Best Picture, and won six.
