Dean Ambrose, Fandango, and EC3 Were Pitched For Heath Slater’s 3MB Faction

In an exclusive for WrestlingNews.co, Steve Fall interviewed former WWE star Heath Miller (Heath Slater) about his wrestling career. The entire interview can be watched below.

Heath Slater on the formation of WWE’s 3MB with Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal:

“3MB happened because the one man band has run its course. I remember going to Michael Hayes and I was like, ‘I need a band. I need to be a new version of the Freebirds.’ Hayes is loving it because like, you know, the Freebirds. He’s in the band. He’s like, ‘Ya man. I like that.’ So he was pushing for it. Week after week, like nothing happened. He was like, ‘Give me an idea. Who do you want?’ So in the band I pitched Ambrose, but he wasn’t in The Shield yet. I pitched Fandango, but he wasn’t Fandango yet. I pitched EC3 because he was on NXT. I pitched those three dudes, but Dango, they already had an idea. Of course, we saw Fandango. With Ambrose, they had him with The Shield. Thank God he wasn’t in 3MB. Two weeks go by again and Hayes said, ‘Hey kid, you’re gonna get your band. It’s gonna be Jinder and Drew McIntyre’, and I was like, ‘What the hell?’ I was like, ‘Drew is going to hate this.’ Jinder is laid back sometimes. It’s like, we’ll make the best of it. Drew was like, ‘What the hell?’ That’s pretty much how it came about. I pitched it. I didn’t get my pitch, but I got my band.”

Heath Slater on getting I Got Kids, Brock Lesnar

“It was literally a promo and then I literally forgot a line and I started shooting from the hip and ‘I got kids came’ out of my mouth. Brock never talks on the promos, but he took the mic from Paul and said that line. (I don’t give a sh*t about your kids).”
