AEW President Tony Khan had been teasing fans about making a dream match announcement for next week’s episode of Dynamite, and he delivered on Friday afternoon, Khan revealed that bout.
Kenny Omega is slated to take on El Hijo del Vikingo in a singles match. To hype the match, Khan wrote the following:

This match was slated to take place at AAA Triplemania Regia in December 2021, but the bout was nixed once the top AEW star was sidelined with multiple injuries, leading to him vacating the AAA Mega Championship.
AAA booked a fatal 5-way match instead at the event that saw Vikingo win the vacant title over Bandido, Bobby Fish, Jay Lethal, and Samuray del Sol.
The only other match booked for Dynamite is Hook vs. Stokely Hathaway in a No DQ match.
