Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite continued the build for the promotion’s next pay-per-view event, Revolution, next Sunday night. It also marked the debut of the promotion in Tulsa.
Injury
It was also slated to have Jeff Hardy at least make an appearance. However, that was nixed as Hardy had a scary situation a week ago when working a No DQ Match for last Friday’s AEW Rampage episode. Hardy was injured during the bout when taking a knee to the head on a shooting star press.
Hardy suffered a broken nose but no concussion in his match. Hardy said that he was okay to the referee, and they proceeded to go to the finish.
Plans change
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted Hardy was supposed to have a key role. Meltzer didn’t specify exactly what was planned for Hardy. This is just one of the many changes made to a chaotic Dynamite.
