There was a different atmosphere tonight on AEW Dynamite in Chicago.
The Elite got a mixed reaction when they came out to the ring tonight for their Best of 7 series match against Death Triangle. There were audible boos and also cheers as Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks went out to the ring for their match. The boos are from fans of CM Punk
There were some “CM Punk” chants and some fans chants chanting what sounded like “F**k The Elite.” However, there were also some fans chanting “F**k CM Punk” as well and that could be heard clearly during the match.
Omega got a huge reaction after hitting PAC with the GTS, a move many associate with CM Punk. Also, as you can see in the GIF below, Matt Jackson mocked how Punk fell down at Double Or Nothing while trying the Buckshot Lariat. The match ended with Penta El Zero Miedo pinning Matt Jackson. As a result of the loss, Death Triangle has a 2-0 lead in the best of 7 series for the Trios Titles. The next match takes place next Wednesday night on Dynamite.
