Former WWE star attended AEW Dynamite as a fan

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite was a big show for the company from the Forum in Los Angeles, CA, which set a new record for the promotion.

On the show, AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF did a promo segment where he ripped Freddie Prinze Jr and Ken, who were in attendance for the show. While roasting them, he missed one name who was also in attendance, and that was Chris Masters.

Fans on social media picked up on seeing Masters in the front row as he was shown on the broadcast but did not acknowledge him. The former WWE star took to Twitter to upload a video of himself sitting ringside during MJF’s promo.

He wrote in the caption, “I’m at AEW Dynamite as a fan.”

He is best known for his time in WWE, as in 2005, he made his main roster debut. He’s remembered for his” The Masterlock” finisher, a full nelson hold, where he would challenge several wrestlers to the Masterlock Challenge and reward the winner with a prize if they could break it.

The Masterlock Challenge storyline ended after Bobby Lashley broke it in 2007. He was released in 2007 before making his return to WWE in 2009. Masters would spend the next two years in WWE until he was released again in 2011. Since then, he has worked for GCW and TNA Wrestling. He currently wrestles for the NWA.
