Former WWE star debuted at the Impact Wrestling tapings

Gran Metalik (Mascara Dorada) worked Friday’s Impact Wrestling TV tapings in Dallas, Texas, which marked his promotional debut.

Dorada picked up a win over former WWE 205 Live wrestler Alex Zayne. Dorada took to Twitter to react to his debut and shared a clip from his match with Zayne. He wrote the following in the caption:

“Thank you @IMPACTWRESTLING #mexicano #simba #agradecidocondios #autenticoreydelascuerdas.”

It’s unclear whether he is signed to a full-time deal or is working on a per-show basis.

Metalik worked for WWE from 2016-2021, primarily used in the Cruiserweight division, in addition to teaming with Lince Dorado and Kalisto as the Lucha House Party on Raw and SmackDown.

Since his WWE departure, he has worked for NJPW on the weekly Strong series as well as various other independents such as GCW.
