Since taking over creative, Triple H has brought back several former WWE stars who had been let go. Johnny Gargano may be the latest name to return to the company.
Cassidy Haynes of BodySlam.net reports that Gargano is open to a WWE return now that Triple H is in charge of creative and is interested in talking to him to see “how things would be changing.”
The report noted that Gargano wasn’t a fan of the schedule, especially now that he’s a father, but the “overarching factor for him walking away was dissatisfaction with his position/direction with no set plan for how he’d be used.”
Haynes added in his report that Gargano has also been in talks with AEW.
While under the leadership of Triple H in NXT, Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa were pushed as top stars, with both wrestlers capturing the NXT Championship. Ciampa is getting a bigger push with Triple H in charge than he was under Vince McMahon’s leadership.
Gargano departed from WWE last December to be with Candice LeRae ahead of the birth of their first child. He hasn’t wrestled since then but has made convention appearances.
