A former WWE Champion might be appearing tonight on Friday Night SmackDown.
WWE Friday Night SmackDown will be in Providence, Rhode Island for the Tribute to the Troops special and the company has announced that CM Punk and Cody Rhodes will be appearing.
Additionally, Randy Orton and LA Knight will be wrestling against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa in a tag team match after a brawl broke out at the end of last week’s show. Also, Charlotte Flair will take on Asuka from Damage CTRL, and in United States Title Tournament matches, it will be Dragon Lee vs. Santos Escobar and Bobby Lashley vs. Karrion Kross.
Fightful Select reports that John Bradshaw Layfield is backstage. While it is not confirmed that he will be appearing on the show, it’s a pretty safe bet since Bradshaw is usually involved with the Tribute to the Troops shows. At the very least, expect him to appear in front of the crowd, whether it happens on the live broadcast or off air. SmackDown airs live tonight on FOX at 8 pm Eastern.
