2024 is shaping up to be a big year in the world of pro wrestling as AEW is looking to lock down its television deal as part of its existing deal with Warner Bros. Discovery expires at the end of the year while WWE still needs to secure a media rights deal for Raw after signing with the CW Network for NXT and SmackDown with the USA Network. Both deals start in the fall of 2024.
The year
The year will also see WWE try to lock down some top stars to new deals, including Becky Lynch, Drew McIntyre and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. They’ve already signed the likes of Rey & Dominik Mysterio and Bayley to new deals.
Mercedes Mone is also a free agent as she continues to train for her in-ring return after being sidelined for the last several months after getting surgery for a broken ankle.
The tease
As seen below, the former Sasha Banks got fans talking by sharing a photo from outside the TD Garden in Boston, MA, her hometown. WWE was in town on Wednesday for a live event.
It’s unclear whether that was a recent photo or an old photo. Either way, Mone got fans talking about the possibility of her return to the company.
