Former WWE star to make Impact Wrestling debut at this Saturday’s TV tapings

Impact Wrestling announced two matches for this weekend’s TV tapings following the No Surrender special on Friday night.

KENTA will wrestle Impact World Champion Josh Alexander, while former WWE star Shane Haste aka Shane Throne/Slapjack, will take on “Speedball” Mike Bailey. Both bouts will take place on Saturday night.

Haste signed with WWE in 2016 alongside his longtime tag team partner Mikey Nichols, who took on the name Nick Miller before he was released in 2018. WWE repackaged Haste as Slapjack, a member of the Retribution stable. He was later moved to SmackDown after the group split up and was released in November 2021.

After taking time off, he went to NJPW in March 2022, where he reformed TMDK stable alongside Bad Dude Tito and current WWE star Bronson Reed. Here are the current lineups for both tapings:

Saturday Tapings:

Josh Alexander vs. KENTA

Jonathan Gresham vs. KUSHIDA

Callihan vs. Frankie Kazarian

Mike Bailey vs. Shane Haste
