Impact Wrestling is bringing in a wrestler who has ties to WWE for their TV tapings in Chicago at Cicero Stadium.
The promotion holds TV tapings on Friday and Saturday. Samuray del Sol, aka the former Kalisto in WWE, will be in action.
WWE released Kalisto in April 2021. He worked a tag team match with Aero Star against AAA Tag Team Champions FTR on the November 3, 2021, edition of AEW Dynamite. In the summer of 2021, Impact Wrestling reportedly discussed bringing him in, but ultimately didn’t happen.
On Friday night, he’ll work a six-man tag team match when he teams with Black Taurus & Laredo Kid vs. Bully Ray, Moose & Brian Myers. On Saturday night, he’ll take on Chris Sabin.
