WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther has hit another impressive WWE milestone while he continues his dominance.
After finding success in NXT and NXT UK, GUNTHER was called up to the main roster last year.
He became the Intercontinental Champion in June, defeating Shinsuke Nakamura for the title. He recently hit the mark of holding the title longer than anyone in a single reign since Cody Rhodes’ 234-day reign in 2011.
This is fitting considering GUNTHER and Rhodes were the final two stars in this year’s 30-Man Royal Rumble match where Rhodes eliminated him to win the bout, earning himself the shot at challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 39.
Gunther has now broken into the top 10 of longest-reigning Intercontinental Champions in WWE history.
A little over over 200 days away from breaking the all time record.

Despite being the 2023 Men's #RoyalRumble Runner-Up, @Gunther_AUT does score a small victory over winner @CodyRhodes…
As of this week, Gunther now owns the longest @WWE Intercontinental Title reign of the last 18 years, surpassing Cody's 234-day reign from 2011. #RingGeneral
