‘I don’t care what he does’: Ric Flair calls Vince McMahon ‘a great guy’ and ‘my hero’

Ric Flair has worked with Vince McMahon for years over a few different stints in WWE.

While appearing on the Joe Rogan Experience, the WWE Hall of Famer gave his thoughts on McMahon and praised him despite McMahon’s sexual misconduct scandal last July, which led to his retirement from WWE for the rest of the year before he forced his way back in January where he assumed the role of executive chairman  before agreeing to Endeavor’s acquisition of WWE.

This past December, McMahon agreed to a multi-million dollar legal settlement with former WWE referee Rita Chatterton, decades after he was accused of raping her.

During the interview, Flair called McMahon his hero, after being asked about McMahon’s sexual misconduct scandal. The reason for his viewpoint on McMahon is due to the way that he has treated him in the past.

Rogan: “When he was getting involved in scandals and there was like girls that he had paid off, I just wanted to say: Duh. Like, duh. You’ve got an 80-year-old savage who’s built like a f*cking gladiator. Gee, you think he f*cks? What do you think? You think Vince McMahon is doing that just for f*cking hee-hees and haw-haws? No, of course he’s got some floozies on the side.”

Flair: “He’s my hero.”

Rogan: “That guy’s an animal.”

Flair: “I judge people by how they treat me and he has treated me like — I’ve never had anyone treat me with more respect ever in this business. He’s a great guy. I don’t care what he does. He’s my hero.”

McMahon publicly addressed the scandal when the acquisition was announced. Click below for the entire interview:
