Injuries are just bound to happen in the wrestling business because the bumps add up on someone’s body over time, and that’s what happened to one WWE star, who has since returned to in-ring action.
Johnny Gargano had disappeared for the most part since NXT Stand and Deliver, where he went over Grayson Waller in an unsanctioned match during WrestleMania weekend last month.
Before that, Gargano had suffered a grade two AC sprain in December at a WWE house show in Toronto, Canada. He would return and work a dozen matches after March 4.
Gargano had reaggravated the shoulder injury but returned to in-ring action when taking on Intercontinental Champion Gunther at Saturday’s house show in Augusta, Georgia.
Although not confirmed, it’s possible that fans will see this match on tonight’s episode of Raw as WWE is hyping the Raw debut of Gunther following the Draft. WWE will likely also continue to tease the reunion of The Way group (Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell & Dexter Lumis) that was started last week.
