Insight Into RUSH’s Decision to Stay With AEW Despite Having Other Offers

AEW President Tony Khan was able to keep RUSH under contract despite the talented wrestler having offers from other promotions.

As previously reported, RUSH confirmed on Monday in a post on social media that he had re-signed with AEW. This was amidst reports of WWE being interested in the former ROH World Champion. Khan is looking to keep talent under contract for the long haul.

Rush has been away from AEW TV for the last two months. He last competed on the May 24th episode of AEW Rampage when he teamed Preston Vance and Dralistico against Billy Gunn and The Acclaimed.

RUSH previously signed a one-year deal with AEW, but is now under a multiple year deal.

In a post on social media, Jose The Assistant shared some insight into RUSH’s decision to stay with AEW.

“RUSH re-signed with #AEW because of how much concern Tony showed for Rush’s wife and newborn. Family is important to Rush, seeing how much Tony cared is what solidified the deal. There were other offers, but NEVER any consideration to go, AEW cares, Tony cares about his people.”
