Former WWE star Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks) was posting photos of herself in London hours before the AEW All In event at Wembley Stadium.
At the post-event press conference, AEW President Tony Khan noted that he wanted Mone to be there to experience the show in person. He added that she is not medically cleared and won’t be doing anything physical anytime soon.
Pwinsider reports those backstage at the show said “she was wearing a heavy walking boot and that she was specifically shot in the crowd sitting to not show that.”
Also, the expectation backstage is that once she’s medically cleared, she will be coming in for appearances and “would have debuted at the TD Garden Blood and Guts episode of Dynamite in her hometown of Boston, MA” if she had not been injured.
Mone had surgery for a broken ankle a few months ago when she suffered the injury during a match to crown the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Champion.
