WWE is off to a strong sale with WrestleMania 39 after tickets went on sale last Friday.
The event is scheduled for April 1-2, 2023, at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA. There was a WrestleMania 39 Launch Party to promote the upcoming shows held last Thursday.
Dave Meltzer previously reported that WWE sold over 10,000 combo tickets for both nights in presales alone, with around 1,000 tickets for each night selling individually.
Michael Cole stated on last week’s SmackDown that WWE “had the highest first day of ticket sales in the history of WrestleMania today.”
Pwinsider.com reported today that several sources have noted that WWE is ‘ecstatic’ with the early ticket sale figures for the show, especially for Night Two.
The stadium has an official capacity of 70,240 seats, which can be expanded up to 100,240. Two big matches have been rumored for the event, including Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey and The Rock vs. Roman Reigns.
Although Lynch is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury, she’s expected to be back in action in time for WrestleMania. As previously noted, WWE is still hopeful that The Rock can work the event, but it will come down to his schedule as he is in demand with acting, and he will relaunch the XFL in 2023.
