Jackie Redmond will have a bigger role in WWE.
On Tuesday, Variety reported that Redmond has been named the backstage interviewer for Monday Night Raw alongside Bryon Saxton and will serve as the premium live event kickoff shows alongside Kayla Braxton, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T & Peter Rosenberg.
Redmond will continue to do studio work for the company with Raw Talk and Talking Smack in addition to her work for NHL Network and WBD Sports.
The promotion will see Cathy Kelley move to SmackDown, where she joins Kayla Braxton as a backstage interviewer. Megan Morant will host Raw Talk, SmackDown LowDown, and international shows.
Redmond first joined WWE in 2021 as co-host of Raw Talk and “Talking Smack. Prior to joining WWE, she worked as a host and reporter in her native Canada for companies such as Rogers Sportsnet.
This change comes after WWE made shakeups to the broadcast teams in October 2022 that moved various announcers to different brands across Raw, NXT, and SmackDown. That same announcement revealed Kelley’s WWE return after departing in 2020.
