Jade Cargill Says Joining WWE Was a No-Brainer Decision, Knows Which Brand She’ll Be On

Jade Cargill spoke with ESPN following the news she signed with WWE, where she discussed her decision, which she called a no-brainer. She also hinted that while she knows whether she will be on the main roster or NXT TV, she will keep the fans guessing. Here are the highlights.

On whether she will be on the main roster or the NXT brand:

“It has [been decided]. And guess what? Everybody will have to tune in to every network and see where I’m going. That’s what I’m here for. I’m here to stir the pot and to get people guessing where I’m going to be. So just tune in.”

On why she left AEW for WWE:

“The leadership. Paul, Bruce, Dan, and Nick mean you can’t get any better than that, and I’m the first signing under the umbrella. I mean, there’s so many different things. Where else can you go to get the best quality training? Nowhere else. The PC here is one on one. There’s nothing else like it. The machine is behind you. The platform. Just the overall history. The legacy. Creating household names means I can go on and on. I mean, why not? The question is, why not?”

On whether she feels like she’s being treated as a star:

“Yes, I would say that they see that it’s in me. I think they know that I work hard and that I’ll bring that hard work over here to the PC and I’ll do what it takes to be a household name and to create that legacy.”

On what happened with AEW that led to her deciding to leave:

“Nothing happened with them. They’re still a phenomenal company. It’s just I wanted to create something that nobody else can do. And where else can you create that leadership role? Where else could you be a household name? Where else can you create that legacy? I want to be in the Hall of Fame. There was no other place I wanted to be at the PC working my butt off and working with the best trainers that wrestling has to offer. I worked with Daniel Bryan’s like a phenomenal guy, but he came here, right? So I thought that this is a no-brainer.”

On whether she got ‘the bag’:

“I am the bag.”
