Jade Cargill’s AEW Deal Believed to Be Expiring as Soon as This Week

Jade Cargill is on her way out of AEW as the former AEW TBS Champion worked her last match with the promotion at Wednesday’s Rampage taping, where she had a rematch with Kris Statlander.

As previously reported by Fightful Select, Cargill is finishing up with AEW and is expected to be WWE-bound. She originally signed a three-year deal with AEW in the fall of 2020.

Cargill does have a history with WWE, as she had a tryout there before coming to AEW, but she felt AEW was a better fit for her.

Pwinsider reports, “The belief is that her current AEW deal expires as soon as this week, and while there were discussions with Cargill about staying, nothing new was ever agreed to.”

Cargill doesn’t have any other AEW appearances lined up. Once her deal does expire, she would be free to sign elsewhere.

The report noted that some in AEW believe Cargill is heading to WWE for the NXT brand instead of being sent straight to the main roster.
