Jeff Cobb has his sights set on Kenny Omega coming out of Tuesday’s New Japan Cup Finals show from Nagaoka. In recent weeks, Cobb has been calling out the top AEW star.
The two stars have faced each other once previously, as Cobb and Great-O-Khan lost to Omega and Kazuchika Okada at New Year’s Dash in January.
Cobb has previously wrestled on AEW programming three times, including at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view event last year. In his first AEW match, he lost to Jon Moxley on the February 19, 2020, edition of Dynamite before returning that June for a Rampage match where he beat FTR’s Cash Wheeler.
The most recent match saw him team with O’Khan against FTR and Roppongi Vice, which saw FTR go over to win the IWGP and Ring of Honor Tag Team Championships at Forbidden Door.
In a backstage interview, Cobb revealed he would confront Omega on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite in St. Louis.
Omega will wrestle El Hijo del Vikingo on Wednesday’s Dynamite.
