Jeff Jarrett Not Surprised That Bobby Roode Is Doing Well As WWE Producer: ‘He’s A Great Dude. He’s A Really Good Guy’

Bobby Roode is cleared to wrestle but as he stated on Chris Van Vliet’s podcast, he is happy with what he is doing behind the scenes at WWE.

While speaking on the My World podcast, Conrad Thompson praised Roode for his work at WrestleMania. He and Michael Hayes were the agents for both main events.

Thompson said, “I want to give some shout-outs and some props to a guy who you and I haven’t spent a ton of time talking about but I know how proud you had to be. Behind the scenes, Bobby Roode has become a power player to the point where he produced, alongside Michael Hayes, the main event of night 1 and night 2 of WrestleMania and that fabulous parking lot beatdown with The Rock and Cody in the rain in Chicago. Man, Robert Roode was one hell of a wrestler but he might just be a pretty damn good agent too.”

Jeff Jarrett said, “Bobby Roode did a promo during the Asylum days of TNA. His look, and everything that went with it, he delivered the promo and I knew that he had some type of tryout with WWE. He got done with the promo and this was 2002. 20-something years ago I looked at Scott D’Amore and said, ‘Now why didn’t they sign him?’ I couldn’t believe that they didn’t scoop him up then. To me, he’s that kind of talent…Bobby and me had a very close relationship all through our time. He texted me on Sting’s last match to say, ‘Hey man, give Sting a hug for me and tell him congrats.’ I literally can’t say enough good things about him. It doesn’t surprise me at all that he is stepping right into that Producer role. He’s a thinking man. When I look back at my time on my time at TNA, I was the lucky one…Bobby, always a strategist.”

Jarrett continued, “He’s a hell of a talent, a hell of a mind and most importantly, he’s a great dude. He’s a really good guy.”
