Jerry Lynn has decided to respond to reports that there is frustration among wrestlers in AEW and others behind the scenes regarding the creative process of the promotion.
This is not something fans have heard a lot about in AEW since the promotion launched in 2019, as Tony Khan has been historically good at keeping long-term storylines and booking plans in check.
That had been much different than in WWE for years due to Vince McMahon changing his mind at a moment’s notice.
As previously reported, Dave Meltzer noted on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that creative has been finalized later than usual as of late, leading to talent being frustrated.
The AEW producer and coach responded to the story on social media by writing:
“Because wrestlers and God knows who else have and continue to leak info to the sheets, podcasts, etc. So Tony tries to keep things confidential. You wouldn’t want to know everything before you see a movie. Anyone who leaks info is doing damage to the product and the industry.”
