Jesse Ventura is open to being involved with WWE now that Vince McMahon is gone, but don’t expect to see him calling matches on commentary any time soon.
Things have changed significantly in recent years since the promotion, as Triple H leads creative and Nick Khan handles business. Ventura has been on good and bad terms with the company, mainly McMahon, for years. Ventura tried to get WWE wrestlers to unionize in 1986 before WrestleMania 2 and had a legal battle with the former chairman.
He made a name for himself as a wrestler before becoming an announcer for WWE, leading to his Hall of Fame induction in 2004. Last month, while appearing on The Vanguard, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed he was talking with WWE again now that McMahon is gone.
In an interview with Frank Morano of WABC 77 Radio, the legend noted that he’s in talks with the company about a Legends deal.
Ventura noted that WWE wants to bring him back on a Legends deal that would allow them to use his likeness for various projects, including merchandise and video games. He pointed out how many wrestlers from the first WrestleMania are no longer alive.
Ventura added that it’s not like he will get back on the microphone because he doesn’t know who wrestles anymore.
