John Cena returning to the ring at WWE WrestleMania 39?

John Cena returned to WWE TV to celebrate his 20th anniversary with the company this past June on Raw and was introduced by Vince McMahon.

Although there was speculation that Cena was there also to announce his SummerSlam match with Theory, that didn’t happen, instead, Cena stated he wasn’t sure when he would wrestle again.

While speaking with GiveMeSport, WrestleVotes noted that Cena is expected to be wrestling at WrestleMania 39 next year in Los Angeles, although it’s unclear who he would wrestle at the event.

The Twitter account stated, “Cena should be there, and Cena should be wrestling.”

There has been speculation that Cena would be less likely to wrestle for WWE following Vince McMahon’s departure, but according to WrestleVotes, that’s not the case.

“I know he touches base every so often, and although Vince is out of the picture, Cena still has a love for this place. John Cena and Triple H have a respect for each other.”

WrestleVotes explained that Cena wants to become ‘the next Rock’ and a match at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles will help with that.

“WrestleMania is still WrestleMania and it’s in Los Angeles. If Cena is legitimately trying to be ‘the next Rock’ you should perform at WrestleMania in Hollywood, and I think he’ll be there and I think it’ll be wrestling. I’ll leave it at that.”

As previously reported, WWE wants to do Roman Reigns vs. The Rock at WrestleMania 39, but it all depends on The Rock’s schedule and if he will be free to do it.
