Jon Moxley took shots at Vince McMahon and WWE after AEW Rampage taping

New AEW Undisputed World Champion Jon Moxley addressed fans in his home state of Ohio on Wednesday night following the taping of Friday’s episode of Rampage.

Moxley and Bryan Danielson came out to the ring. Pwinsider.com reports that Moxley did a promo about how he and Danielson were the two best wrestlers in the world. He recalled some of his memories in Cleveland and noted none were as special as beating CM Punk to unify the titles earlier in the night.

Moxley promised that the AEW locker room was determined to work hard to present the best product in the world and encouraged fans to tell their friends to check out AEW if they were watching “that Monday and Friday night crap,” referring to WWE Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown.

Moxley took a shot at former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon while praising ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli for “ignoring some old crazy man’s” opinions.

This was referring to Vince McMahon’s comments about Castagnoli in 2014 during an appearance on Steve Austin’s podcast, where the former WWE Chairman stated Cesaro had failed to grab the proverbial brass ring and struggled to connect with the fans like top stars are supposed to do.

Moxley also praised Wheeler Yuta, Dustin Rhodes, and Arn Anderson before thanking everyone for their support.
