Kazuchika Okada has locked down another trademark.
The top NJPW star had attorney Michael Dockins file the trademark with the USPTO for the purposes of merchandise services on January 24 for his name. Here is the description:
“Mark For: KAZUCHIKA OKADA™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of hats; Shirts; Socks; Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts.”
Okada will be free and clear of his NJPW deal, which expires at the end of this month and has worked his farewell tour over the past several weeks. He has interest from AEW and WWE.
AEW is believed to have made the stronger first offer, but no contract had been signed. The latest update noted All Elite Wrestling is the frontrunner to land the top star.
