No matter who you are or what you do, you can’t make everyone happy. For LA Knight, he tried to explain to a fan the recent booking decision made by WWE.
WWE is building towards the finals of the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournament that is slated to be held at the themed Premium Live Event on Saturday, May 26, 2024, from the Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which will air on Peacock. WWE kicked off the qualifying matches last week on both Raw and SmackDown.
With the event happening in just a matter of weeks, the company decided to have some qualifying matches take place at Saturday and Sunday’s house shows as they are short on time to get all of the matches take place with the likes of Knight going over Santos Escobar and Tiffany Stratton picking up a win at the Chattanooga, Tennessee live event to advance. Kofi Kingston beat Rey Mysterio, and Shayna Baszler was victorious the following night in Macon, GA.
Knight responded to a fan who asked why Knight and Stratton’s wins were delegated to house shows. You can see his response below:
I appreciate everyone saying this match should’ve been on TV. But, no need to throw live event crowds under the bus.
Live events are where the @WWE roster has as much fun as possible.
Not only having a great match, but a match with HUGE stakes makes the live events more fun!🚀 https://t.co/VojlY86f8d
