With WWE looking to load up WrestleMania 39, John Cena is among the names that WWE is hoping to bring back for the event.
As previously reported by WrestleVotes, Cena is expected to be wrestle at WrestleMania 39 next year in Los Angeles, although it’s unclear who he will wrestle at the event.
WrestleVotes explained that Cena wants to become ‘the next Rock’ and a match at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles will help with that.
Dave Meltzer has shed some light on Cena’s 2023 filming schedule in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The report stated that “There is a question regarding Cena at Mania” as Cena will be in Australia shooting the comedy movie ‘Ricky Stanicky’ throughout February and March.
If Cena wants to wrestle at Mania, he would have to train in Australia while shooting his movie. It would also likely limit how many appearances he could make on WWE television leading up to the show.
Cena returned to WWE TV to celebrate his 20th anniversary with the company this past June on Raw and was introduced by Vince McMahon. Logan Paul recently asked Triple H for a match with Cena at WWE WrestleMania 39.
