Lexis King (Brian Pillman Jr.) Made WWE NXT In-Ring Debut at Live Event

Former AEW star Brian Pillman Jr. worked his first WWE match after officially making his TV debut this past week on Tuesday’s NXT.

Pillman finished up with AEW after his contract with the promotion expired. He spent three years with the promotion, mostly paired with Griff Garrison, where they worked on Dark and Dark: Elevation.

Pillman is going by the Lexis King ring name to honor the father who raised him and explained in a promo segment that he doesn’t want to be known as the son of the late Brian Pillman because the wrestling business took his real father from him. Lexis is short for Alexis, the name of Pillman’s sister who passed away. King is the last name of his stepfather.

WWE held an NXT live event on Friday night from Largo, FL, where King made his WWE in-ring debut by scoring a win over Brooks Jensen in a singles match.
