Mainstream Media Covers the Passing of WWE’s Bray Wyatt

As seen in the video below, CNN covered Bray Wyatt’s passing today on their newscasts.

The story has been picked up by several other major outlets including The BBC, The Associated Press, ABC News, E! Online, ESPN, The Los Angeles Times, Variety and USA Today just to name a few.

As you can imagine, Bray’s death has rocked the wrestling world as many people in the business have worked with him and were friends with him. It is expected that there will be some sort of tribute for Wyatt tonight on Friday Night SmackDown and very likely that at least some plans for the show have been scrapped.

As noted last night, all net proceeds from Bray’s merchandise will go towards his family. Bray leaves behind his fiance JoJo Offerman and 4 children. WWE’s statement on the merchandise: “In the wake of Bray Wyatt’s death, WWE will donate all net proceeds to support JoJo Offerman and his children.””
