Major free agent says he will speak with Tony Khan soon

Kota Ibushi could be the latest wrestler to become All Elite if talks with company President Tony Khan go well.

Ibushi is on the free agent market after departing from NJPW in February and being sidelined for over a year due to a shoulder injury. However, he returned to in-ring action by working for GCW over WrestleMania weekend.

While speaking with Dark Puroresu Flowsion, Kota, who is considered to be one of the best wrestlers in the world, discussed his future in wrestling.

Ibushi noted that he has been recently talking to his good friend and former tag team partner Kenny Omega and hopes to talk with Khan soon.

“Recently, Kenny and I have been talking about things other than games. For example, are your knees okay? Or is your shoulder okay? Also I hope to be in contact with Tony soon.”

AEW will hold its major All In event this August from Wembley Stadium. It will mark AEW’s UK debut and likely their most attended show to date based on strong pre-sale sign-ups.

Ibushi threw out an idea of facing Chris Jericho or Hangman Page in a singles match at the show or teaming with Omega and The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) as the Golden Elite.
