Matt Riddle Pulled From WWE Events After Incident at JFK Airport

WWE has taken Matt Riddle off the road following him accusing a New York City airport police officer at JFK airport of sexual harassment on Sunday. He made the accusation on Instagram, a post he later deleted.

As previously reported, law enforcement sources state that Port Authority officers received a call about a disorderly person who was deplaning. This person turned out to be Riddle.

According to witnesses, Riddle seemed apologetic when he was speaking with the police, and no police report was filed. The Port Authority says they were shocked about Riddle’s claim on Instagram. From their view, they didn’t do anything to deserve such an accusation and take the claim seriously. They are launching an internal investigation.

WWE has not publicly commented on the situation. He has been featured in a storyline with Drew McIntyre.

PWInsider.com reports Riddle is not at tonight’s Raw and is no longer expected to work this weekend’s live events in Idaho and Washington, shows that Riddle had been booked on.
