Matt Riddle has been released by WWE.
Riddle announced on Twitter/X that he is no longer with the company. His release comes after an airport incident at JFK in New York where he claimed that a police officer sexually assaulted him. Riddle included a photo of the officer and later deleted the post.
Police say that they were unaware of such an incident and TMZ reported that there they were called because of someone (Riddle) causing a disturbance while deplaning. Police say that Riddle’s claim has led to an internal investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, Riddle has not appeared on the last two episodes of Raw and there were questions about his future with the company. He confirmed his exit in a post on X/Twitter that you can read below.
