Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE, started a new chapter in her life in January when she became free and clear of WWE after negotiating her release to become a free agent before she signed with NJPW.
The top star made her promotional debut at Wrestle Kingdom, where she confronted KAIRI, setting up their IWGP Women’s Title match at tonight’s Battle in the Valley show.
Ahead of her in-ring return, Mone posted a documentary on her YouTube channel. During it, she revealed Triple H, and William Regal texted her ahead of her NJPW debut. She then began to get emotional about it.
“And also at midnight, I got a very nice text from Triple H, and still it’s crazy, and I got an amazing text from William Regal this morning,” Mone stated in the video.

As previously reported, Triple H did try to talk Mone into returning to the company after walking out last May with Naomi due to creative differences. In the doc, she opened up on why she left WWE for NJPW. You can check out the full documentary below:
