Mercedes Varnado signs with UTA for opportunities across film, television, theater and more

Variety is reporting that ex-WWE star and current IWGP Women’s World Champion Mercedes Varnado has signed with UTA and they will help her “secure new opportunities across film, television, theater and more.”

After leaving WWE last Summer, Varnado signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling in January and her first appearance was at Wrestle Kingdom in the Tokyo Dome in a confrontation with Kairi to help set up the match that took place this past Saturday night in San Jose at Battle in the Valley.

Varnado has some non-WWE work already on her resume including Disney+ series The Mandalorian. The Variety story added that Varnado will continue to be repped by her Advocate, Keven Undergaro.

Banks stated this week that she hopes to help NJPW expand around the world. In addition to her Hollywood aspirations, it looks like she has no plans to wrap up her NJPW run anytime soon.
