Mike Knox Reveals Who Was the Masked Man in the Controversial SmackDown Segment That Got Muhammad Hassan Fired From WWE

In an exclusive for WrestlingNews.co, former WWE star/current NWA wrestler Mike Knox was interviewed by Steve Fall. Knox was on to promote the NWA’s “HP Cares for Cooper” charity event.

Billy Corgan’s NWA will be putting on an event called “HP Cares for Cooper” on July 8 in Highland Park, IL. The event will benefit an 8-year-old boy named Cooper Roberts, who was shot during the devastating mass shooting at the Fourth of July parade at Highland Park last year. Seven people were killed and Cooper has been going through intense physical rehab and multiple surgeries. Admission to the show is free but if you make a minimum donation of $75 then you will get VIP seats in the first or second rows. The charity event is scheduled for July 8 and the NWA will hold a TV taping there on July 9. Visit NWATix.com for more information.

Knox on working the ECW December to Dismember PPV show:

“If I remember right, we did it in a town, was it like Macon, Georgia, or like Savannah or something like that? So it was somewhere that’s not a real hotspot for wrestling? I worked a vampire. It was a mixed tag if I remember correctly. I remember Arn was our agent and he said, “It doesn’t matter what you guys do out there. They don’t give a shit what you’re doing. They came to see the girls rolling around. They’re gonna forget everything you did.’ Of course, I’m like, ‘Whatever, bro. I’ll show you. Let’s go Kevin. Let’s go beat the dog shit out of each other.’ In there, we went hard on each other. Then all of a sudden the girls got in there and guess what? They forgot we were even in that match. Damn Arn, why are you so smart. (he laughs)”

Knox on the London bombings ruining Muhammad Hassan’s WWE career after his angle with The Undertaker:

“Wrong place, wrong time brother. It was instant. It was like one of the next shows, I think, or maybe a couple of weeks later. We’re gonna powerbomb this fool through the stage and we’re never gonna see him again…Thanks Mr. Taker…Yeah, it’s Dude, like you were saying [it was] to close too close to home, you know, like too real.”

Before that show, WWE aired a warning before the segment. Knox gave his theory on why WWE aired the segment even though it was taped a couple of days before. He said, “It was probably one of the highest-rated shows that year, you know I mean, telling people to watch out because something crazy is gonna happen.”

in the video below, Knox also revealed who was the masked man who choked out The Undertaker with piano wire. Click below for the full interview.
