If you have noticed changes to the creative end of things in WWE, it’s likely because Vince McMahon no longer has his fingerprints on the storylines.
McMahon stepped down last year and then returned to power several months back and he was working remotely and overseeing the big picture things with creative. Triple H has been running most of the creative this year but, at times, there have been things that were pushed on TV that appeared to come directly from McMahon.
PWInsider is reporting that the word going around WWE is that McMahon is no longer involved with the creative end of things. It was stated that the belief among wrestlers and people in the company is that Paul “Triple H” Levesque has been “knighted” by Endeavor and he will be the one driving 99.9% of the creative going forward. That is not 100 percent confirmed by the company but several people in the company believe this is the case.
During the WWE Fastlane post-show press conference (see below), Triple H talked about the positive atmosphere backstage and how everyone is working together to move the company forward. PWInsider confirmed that the atmosphere is great backstage and there are no reports of conflicts.
