Philadephia 76ers star Joel Embiid has been fined $25,000 for doing the DX crotch chop last night during the game against the Brooklyn Nets. The news was first reported by NBA insider Shams Charania.
Back in DX’s heyday, there were many reports about teenagers getting in trouble at school for doing the gesture but this is the first time we’ve heard of a fine being levied on a professional athlete.
